Stephen Sheppard in 2008 was engaged as Saleroom & Internet Business Manager for The Cotswold Auction Company based in Cheltenham UK. Stephen assumed responsibility for the Cirencester, Gloucester and Cheltenham Fine Art & Antiques Salerooms, including the Live Internet Bidding platform and Bidmaster Auction Information Technology. Acheivements include introducing works of art to The British Museum, London UK and private collections worldwide. Stephen also joined Friends of Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum UK.
In 2009 Stephen Sheppard returned to Arts and Crafts Company as MD, a company founded by Stephen in 2005 specialising in Arts and Crafts 1900 - 2000. Acheivements include introducing works of art to The Museum of Rural Life Reading UK and private collections worldwide. Stephen worked with BBC TV (Antiques) alongside Jonty Hearnden (Cash in the Attic) and joined Antiques are Green and NADFAS.
2010 Arts and Crafts Company's inclusion in Britain Magazine, the official Travel, Culture, Heritage and Style magazine of Great Britain whilst also featuring in London based weekly The Lady magazine in April 2010. Acheivements include June 2010 when Stephen Sheppard was appointed Auctioneer and Valuer at Tayler and Fletcher Fine Art Department and in October 2010 sets a new auction house record for the 200 year old Cotswold auctioneers in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, selling a 17thC Italian Old Master painting.
2011 begins with Stephen Sheppard leading the inaugural Tayler and Fletcher Modern Art and Design Sale in conjunction with the first traditional Fine Art and Antiques sale of the year in Cheltenham on Thursday 24th February at the magnificent Pittville Pump Room.
