Thomas "Gnomeman" Whittaker Yorkshire Oak Cupboard with hand carved freize above a double panel door with iron hinges and carved "Gnome" signature to the left hand side of the cupboard.

Legend has it that every time an acorn sprouts a Gnome is born, that Gnome will then guard the Oak tree all of it's life. Thomas Whittaker carved a Gnome into every piece of his Yorkshire artisan furniture throughout his life.

Thomas Whittaker was commissioned by Her Majesty Elizabeth the Queen Mother to make Yorkshire artisan furniture as a gift for Lord Howard de Walden, aristocratic racehorse owner and close friend of Her Majesty the Queen Mother.
