Anne Jope was born in Corfe Mullen, Dorset in 1945. She trained at Ealing College of Art and The Central School of Arts and Crafts, where she was tutored in Wood Engraving by Blair Hughes Stanton. Anne is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Painter - Printmakers, Member of the Society of Wood Engravers and a Member of the Association of Printmakers.

Anne Jope exhibited in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, The Royal Academy, London, St Davids Hall, Cardiff, National Portrait Gallery, London, Bristol City Museum & Art Gallery, Art in Action United Kingdom and she has illustrated many 20th century books.
